Burgers are the main event here — smashed, stacked and served with fries. Everything below is cooked in-house, there are heaps of real vegan and gluten-free options (not sad ones), and the lunch deal runs midday to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.

All served with crispy fries — or corn chips and guac for a dollar more. GF option available; most can go vegan.

Cheeky Cheesy — smashed beef patty, cheese, onion, pickles, mustard, ketchup. The benchmark. $22 (make it vegan +$3)

Ringo — smashed beef, bacon, onion rings, cheese, lettuce, pickles, smokey BBQ sauce. $24 (vegan +$3)

Half Pound Possy — two smashed patties, cheese, onion, lettuce, pickles, special sauce. Bring an appetite. $28 (vegan +$3)

Blue Bulls — smashed beef, smoked wagyu rasher, blue cheese sauce, onion, lettuce, pickles. $26 (vegetarian +$2)

Flamin' Galah — grilled chilli chicken, pineapple, bacon, lettuce, onion, chilli aioli. $24

Just Gotta Go — grilled chilli chicken, piri piri sauce, cheese, tomato, onion, pickles. $24

Radio Birdman — crumbed chicken breast, coleslaw, pickles, wasabi aioli. $24

Sofishticated — battered barramundi, onion, lettuce, pickles, special sauce. $24

Monday to Saturday, midday til 4pm: any burger, any bowl, $18. Yes, including the Half Pound Possy. No, we haven't thought it through either.

Got a student card? It's $16 — any time we're open. UTS, USyd, TAFE, language schools, whoever: flash the card, eat like the rent's someone else's problem. Midday to midnight, Monday to Saturday.

Kitchen's open midday to 11pm. Heaps of gluten-free and vegan options — ask the crew, they actually know. Dogs get water on the house.

Classics

If it's got a name and a history, we make it properly — Aperol Spritz to Sazerac, Aviation to White Lady, $14–$26. A Bloody Mary with twelve different herbs, ports and spices ($16), a Martini that behaves ($22), a Manhattan that doesn't ($26). Full list at the bar.

A real non-alcoholic cocktail list built on Lyre's — proper drinks with proper garnishes. Nobody's stuck with soda water at this bar. (There's Heaps Normal in the fridge too.)
